ABOUT Tomato Paneer Gravy RECIPE

An easy peasy recipe with easily available ingredients at home.Goes great with paratha or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 7-8 sweet cocktail tomatoes(can be done with normal tomatoes)
  2. 20-25 paneer cubes,soaked in hot salt water for 5 minutes.
  3. 1 medium size onion chopped
  4. 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  5. 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
  6. 1 tsp Kashmiri Red mirch powder
  7. 1 tsp chopped coriander
  8. 1 tsp paanchforon
  9. 2 Red dry chilly
  10. Olive oil
  11. Salt and sugar to taste
  12. 4-5 tsp milk
  13. 2/3 whole back pepper
  14. 2/3 cardamom pods

Instructions

  1. Cut the sweet cocktail tomatoes into halves,soak the paneer in salt water for 5 minutes.
  2. Take olive oil in a flat pan,add red dry chilly and paanchforon,salt,sugar,cardamon and black pepper.
  3. Once it’s starts spluttering,add the chopped tomatoes and fry till they are golden brown.
  4. Add the ginger garlic paste and sauté it on medium flame,till the raw smell goes away.
  5. Add the tomatoes and fry it till it melts.
  6. Add red chilly powder,1/2 cup water and cook on medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
  7. In the meantime,drain the water from paneer,sprinkle Kashmiri Red mirch and fry the paneer.Once fried,take out the paneer and put it on tissue paper.
  8. Add the paneer in the tomato gravy,add milk and slow cook for 3-4 minutes,till the gravy becomes thick.Check the salt level.
  9. Sprinkle black pepper and coriander and serve it.
