Ingredients to make Dosaca sambar

  • 1 handful of toor dal
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 onion long sliced
  • 4 to5 garlic pods
  • 1tsp oil
  • 1 / 2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 / 2 tsp methi seeds
  • 5 to 6 curry leaves
  • 6 to 8 dry red chilli
  • 1 dosaca chopped
  • 1 cup tamarind pulp
  • 1tbsp coriander chopped
  • 3 tbsp sambar pd
  • salt to taste

How to make Dosaca sambar

  1. Pressure cook sambar dal, tomato chopped , onion and garlic.
  2. Then smash it nicely with the smasher.
  3. In a Kadai add oil fry curry leaves, dry red chilli, mustard seeds, methi seeds, then add sambar pd mix well then add the cooked sambar dal mix well then add salt an bring it to a boil.
  4. Pressure cook the dosaca and then add it to the sambar , add chopped coriander and serve.

My Tip:

You can add vegetables also carrot, beans, drumstick, kadu. For Sambar powder use only mtr brand.
