About Bohri Style Fried Chicken Recipe

This dish was once upon a time served during all the funtions may it be a wedding or a birthday celebration. However nowadays people have started opted for healthier option and this authentic recipe is forgotten. Simple and unique recipe. Sharing the roots of bohri cuisine learnt from my grand mother.

Bohri Style Fried Chicken

Ingredients to make Bohri Style Fried Chicken

  • 1 kg chicken cut to medium pieces
  • 2 tbsp cashew paste
  • 3 tomato puried
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp green chilli paste
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 eggs
  • Bread crumbs for coating
  • 2 tbsp milk tp add in the egg mixture
  • salt and black pepper powder to add in the eggs as per taste
  • oil for Deep frying

How to make Bohri Style Fried Chicken

  1. Clean and wash the chicken pieces, drain it on kitchen towel, then make small incisions with the help of the knife.
  2. Grate tomatoes only pulp, please discard the skin. Add cashew paste, salt, sugar, ginger and garlic paste, green chilli paste, red chilli powder and chicken pieces to this mixture and mix well and keep it aside for 10 minutes
  3. Take a wok add in the marinated mixture and cook it on high flame till the juices dried completely and start to stick to the chicken. Switch off the flame and let it cool.
  4. Now beat the eggs with salt, black peper and milk and set it aside. keep the bread crumbs ready in another plate.
  5. Keep oil to heat, once oil is hot, take the chicken pieces roll it in bread crumbs, then dip it in egg and deep fry it on medium flame till golden brown.
  6. Serve it hot with ketchup
