Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 200g Paneer, Cubed
  2. 1 bunch Spinach, cleaned
  3. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  4. 1 bay leaf
  5. 2 cardamom
  6. 3-4 cloves
  7. 1 inch cinnamon stick
  8. 3 tsp oil
  9. 1 tbsp butter
  10. salt to taste
  11. 2 tbsp cream
  12. 3 green chilies
  13. 1 inch ginger
  14. 1 garlic cloves
  15. 2 tsp Kasuri methi, crushed
  16. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  17. 1/2 onion , finely chopped
  18. 1/2 tomato, finely chopped
  19. 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Boil 5 cup water. Add palak to it and boil for 2 minutes
  2. Drain excess water.Immediately transfer spinach to cold water
  3. Once spinach has cooled, drain excess water completely
  4. Grind 1 inch ginger, 1 clove garlic and 3 green chilies and spinach to smooth paste without adding water
  5. In a large kadai heat oil and butter.
  6. Roast paneer until golden brown on edges and keep it aside
  7. In same pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and 1 tsp kasuri methi. Roast until aromatic
  8. Add onions with little salt. Saute until translucent
  9. Add tomato and saute till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy
  10. Add spinach paste, water and salt. Mix well
  11. Add roasted paneer and mix well.
  12. Simmer and cook for 5 minutes.Add garam masala, 1 tsp kasuri methi and 2 tbsp cream. mix well.
  13. Serve hot with roti or naan
