ABOUT Multi grain spinach methi munchies RECIPE

Whole wheat crispies with spinach, methi, multi grains and khus khus for that extra crunch.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup organic whole wheat flour
  2. 1 tablespoon jowar flour
  3. 1 tablespoon rice flour
  4. 1 teaspoon thin rawa
  5. 1 tablespoon maida
  6. 1 tablespoon khus khus
  7. 6-7 tablespoon oil
  8. 1/2 cup finely chopped spinach ( washed well and towel dried )
  9. 2 tablespoon kasuri methi
  10. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  11. 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  12. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  13. 5-6 black peppercorns, coarsely crushed
  14. Pinch of rock salt
  15. 1/2 teaspoon jeera

Instructions

  1. Apply oil to all the flours mixed together till they resemble bread crumbs.
  2. Add spinach, kasuri methi, all dry masalas, salt.
  3. Using ice cold water, knead a tight dough.
  4. Cover with a moist cloth and rest it for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees with both rods on, if baking. Or can deep fry too.
  6. Roll into thick Rotis and cut into fingers, or rounds.
  7. Prick with a fork all over.
  8. Deep fry till golden brown.
  9. If baking , then spread parchment paper on the baking tray.
  10. Arrange the sticks on the tray.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  12. Lastly, bake at 250 degrees for 8-10 minutes to get golden brown color.
  13. As each oven is different, time to bake may vary hence need to eyeball it.
  14. Even after baking, they keep on cooking while still hot and become crisp on cooling.

can we fry this i dont have an oven or can it be done in tandoor
