About Quick Egg Chilli Recipe

This dish is super-quick and super-easy to make! The end result is tangy, yummy, and delicious.

Quick Egg Chilli

Ingredients to make Quick Egg Chilli

  • Boiled eggs: 6
  • olive oil: 1 tbsp
  • Onion: 2 onions chopped lengthwise.
  • ginger garlic paste: 1 tsp
  • Sriracha/regular red chilli sauce: 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce: 1 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce: 1 tsp
  • tomato ketchup: 1 tbsp
  • Spring onions: 3-4 chopped fine

How to make Quick Egg Chilli

  1. Peel the boiled eggs and make 3-4 slits along the length of the eggs without cutting them apart.
  2. Marinate these eggs in the soy sauce and oyster sauce mixture for 5 minutes or so.
  3. Heat oil in a wok/skillet on high heat. Add in the chopped onions and the stem of the spring onions. Sautéthis mixture for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add in ginger-garlic paste and saute for another minute. Now put in the marinated eggs along with the leftover sauce.
  5. Then pour in the chilli sauce and the tomato ketchup, mix well and sauté this mixture.
  6. Switch off the flame, garnish with chopped spring onions and coriander leaves.
  7. Serve hot with steamed rice or rotis as desired.

My Tip:

Note that I have not added any salt as the sauces have plenty of salt.
