ABOUT Tomato chutney RECIPE

Sometimes you have no veggies at home except tomatoes, then you can go for this, this goes best as side dish and a perfect combo with daal and can be paired easily eith chapati, rice, naan , paranthas, dosa etc

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Tomatoes. .... 1 kg
  2. Sesame oil....1 table spoon
  3. Mustard seeds. 1 tea spoon
  4. Dry red chillies....3 to 4
  5. Curry leaves...10 leaves
  6. Turmeric powder...1 or 2 pinch
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Sugar...white or brown....100 gramms or to taste

Instructions

  1. Finely chopped all the tomatoes and keep aside
  2. Heat a woke , pour oil and put mustard seeds and chillies, add curry leaves, after mustard seeds splutter, add tomatoes and let it cook covered for few minutes on low flame
  3. Now add salt, turmeric powder and sugar and cook it to the required consistency
