Ingredients to make Tomato avocado toast

  • 1 small baguette
  • 2 tbsps butter/Olive oil
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 green chilli (Optional)
  • 1-2 or more teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • Coarse salt and ground pepper
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes, quartered or 1 1/2-2 Roma tomatoes(chopped finely)

How to make Tomato avocado toast

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Slice baguette diagonally into sixteen 1/2-inch-thick slices; brush both sides with a total of butter. Bake on a baking sheet until golden, about 8 minutes(mine took 10 minutes).
  3. Meanwhile take tomatoes, add little salt and black pepper powder, mix well and set aside.
  4. Halve avocados lengthwise and remove pit; scoop flesh into a small bowl. Mash with green chili and lemon juice; add coarse salt and ground pepper, add chopped onion and mix well.
  5. Spread this avocado mixture evenly on toasted bread; top with tomatoes. sprinkle some black pepper and serve.

My Tip:

Storing avocado mixture…. put the whole seed of Avocado into the Avocado mixture directly, it prevents avocado mixture turning black.
