ABOUT Tomato avocado toast RECIPE

A perfect healthy and tasty dish for any parties to served as a starter or one can enjoy as a snacks too. This recipe is inspired by Martha stewart's Tomato Avocado toast recipe. But I made few changes and tried to make it more healthy.

Ingredients Serving: 16

  1. 1 small baguette
  2. 2 tbsps Butter/Olive oil
  3. 2 ripe avocados
  4. 1/2 green chilli (Optional)
  5. 1-2 or more teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  6. 2 tbsp finely chopped Onion
  7. Coarse salt and ground pepper
  8. 1 pint grape tomatoes, quartered or 1 1/2-2 Roma tomatoes(chopped finely)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Slice baguette diagonally into sixteen 1/2-inch-thick slices; brush both sides with a total of butter. Bake on a baking sheet until golden, about 8 minutes(mine took 10 minutes).
  3. Meanwhile take tomatoes, add little salt and black pepper powder, mix well and set aside.
  4. Halve avocados lengthwise and remove pit; scoop flesh into a small bowl. Mash with green chili and lemon juice; add coarse salt and ground pepper, add chopped onion and mix well.
  5. Spread this avocado mixture evenly on toasted bread; top with tomatoes. sprinkle some black pepper and serve.
