ABOUT Poached Egg Tomato gravy RECIPE

Very simple yet most favourite of all ages Eggs,in any form .This one is a great less oily gravy with a base of tomatoes essentially and seasoning to suit your palate ,with eggs poached ,ie. directly cooked into this gravy.Very healthy idesl for any meal breakfast,brunch lunch or dinner with breads,rotis naaans and rice too.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 ripe tomatoes puree
  2. 1tblspn tomato ketchup,
  3. 1tspn ginger garlic paste
  4. 1-2 eggs as per requirement
  5. 1tblspn oil, I use Rice bran
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1/8th tspn turmeric powder
  8. 1/2tspn cummin cooriander powder
  9. 1tspn red chilli powder or paprika
  10. Some corriander leaves fresh
  11. 1-2Spring onion and scallions

Instructions

  1. Keep ingredients handy
  2. Puree 2 ripe tomatoes
  3. Heat oil in saucepan
  4. Add ginger garlic paste ,stir fry on slow for raw smell to go
  5. Add tomato puree stir,add all dry seasoning here
  6. Cook these for 2-4 minutes add 1tblspn tomato ketchup
  7. Added some Corriander leaves and scallions if prefer
  8. Add little water again cook gravy 2-3 minutes covered
  9. Break egg on to gravy now
  10. Cover cook 2-3 minutes
  11. As the engg set your poached egg in tomatoes gravy is ready
  12. Garnish with some spring onions and lime and enjoy hot
