ABOUT som tum RECIPE

it is a Thai green papaya salad recepie. it is a unique combination of sweet, sour, spicy and tangy flavour

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. green papaya
  2. 2 tablespoon palm sugar
  3. 4 cloves of garlic
  4. 2-3 green chillies
  5. 1 table spoon dried shrimp
  6. 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  7. 4-5 long beans
  8. 2 tablespoon roasted peanut+ some extra for garnishing
  9. 1 tablespoon lime juice
  10. 4-5 cherry tomatoes
  11. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. shred papaya into strips. then soak in ice water and drain.
  2. ingredients are all ready
  3. I don’t have big mortar pestal, so I am using a big vessel .
  4. crush sugar, garlic and chillies
  5. soak shrimp into hot water for 20 minutes
  6. then add long beans and dried shrimp . crush them
  7. next add roasted peanut. crush them till they all mixed up thoroughly
  8. add cherry tomatoes, salt, fish sauce and lime juice . crush gently to mix up
  9. add papaya. gently crush and mixed with all the ingredients
  10. serve with fried prawns and roasted peanut
