Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 4-5 medium sized par-boil potatoes or aloo
  2. 3 tbsp purpose flour/maida
  3. 3 tbsp corn flour
  4. 7-8 curry leaves, chopped
  5. 1 tsp red chili powder
  6. ½ tsp coriander powder
  7. ½ tsp Cumin powder
  8. ½ tsp black pepper powder
  9. ½ tsp garam masala powder
  10. 1/2 tsp tandoori masala
  11. 2 to 3 tsp ginger garlic paste or crushed ginger garlic
  12. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  13. few coriander for garnish
  14. Water as required
  15. 1 cup hung curd
  16. 1 Teaspoon oil
  17. 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  18. 1/2 onion sliced
  19. 3-4 curry leaves
  20. Salt as required
  21. Oil for frying
  22. Onion,cabbage,Carrot slice for serving
  23. Onion rings for serving

Instructions

  1. Par-boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker for 1-2 whistles.
  2. Make a thick batter with all the ingredients except for oil and potatoes, peel and dice the parboiled potatoes.
  3. Add the diced boiled potatoes to the batter.
  4. Fry the batter coated potatoes in hot oil till golden brown & crisp.
  5. Take oil in pan on medium heat add mustard seeds,when it cracks.., add onion sliced and curry leaves
  6. Add hung curd, cook for 2 minutes then add fried potatoes and cook for a while.
  7. Serve potato 65 hot garnished with coriander along with some some green chutney or tomato sauce and salad.
