My grand kids are very fond of Papdi chat. That inspired me to make this healthy version of chat.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Tomatoes 4 ( big, )
  2. Boiled Chana ( by adfing salt)1 bowl.
  3. Boiled potatoes 4.
  4. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  5. Salt to taste.
  6. Chat masala 1/2 tsp
  7. For Coriander Chuteney.
  8. coriander leaves 1 bunch
  9. Green chillies 2
  10. Roasted ground nuts 2 tbsp
  11. Roasted split chick peas 2 tbsp
  12. Coconut grated 2 ybsp
  13. Mint leaves 6 to 7
  14. Cumin 1 tsp
  15. Sesame seeds roasted 1 tsp
  16. Salt to taste.
  17. Lemon juice of 1/2 lemon.
  18. Sugar 2 tsp.
  19. Curd 1 bowl + 1/2 bowl more
  20. Aamchur powder to add in curd ( to tasye)
  21. Salt to add in curd (to taste)
  22. Sugar to add in curd (to taste)
  23. Garlic Chilli Sauce 4 tbsp.
  24. Tamerind chuteney ( optional) 2 tbsp.
  25. Bhujia sev 1 bowl.
  26. Coriander leaves to garnish.
  27. Roasted peanuts to garnish ( optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut tomatoes horizontally in 2.
  2. Scoop out pulp. Preserve it.
  3. Peel and chop potatoes in small cubes. Spread salt, chilli powder and chat masala.
  4. Spread chat masala and a pinch of chilli powder ( a pinch) over chana.
  5. Make Coriander chutney by grinding all ingredients mentioned. ( Accept lime juice)
  6. Add salt and sugar to curd. Beat by adding 2 tbsp water.
  7. Check the taste , add samachar powder if it is very blend.
  8. Apply salt to scooped tomatoes ( inner side) . We will not sweet liquid as we want them to be juicy.
  9. Arrange tomatoes in a plate.
  10. Keep some potato filling.
  11. Over that keep some Chana
  12. Now put some green chutney over it.
  13. Spread Garlic chilli sauce and Curd.
  14. If you are using tamerind chutney you can spread it.
  15. Chop scooped tomato preserve and keep on it.
  16. Now spread a pinch of chat masala ( optional) and Bhujia sev.
  17. If you want little more crunchy you can spread some roasted peeled ground nuts.
