ABOUT Red velvet cup cake RECIPE

A cupcake topped with whipped cream and tullies. It has lovely flavours and the appearance is also extraordinary if correct proportion of color is added.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Flour 145g
  2. Unsalted butter 57g
  3. Sugar 150g
  4. Egg 1nos.
  5. Coco powder 2 1/2 tbsp
  6. Red food paste 6g
  7. Vanilla essence 5ml
  8. Butter milk or curd 120ml.
  9. Salt a pinch
  10. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  11. Vinegar 1tsp

Instructions

  1. Measure the ingredients as per the recipe.
  2. Cream butter and sugar till fluffy texture is obtained.
  3. Add the diluted egg little by little and cream continuously.
  4. In a separate bowl take (70%) of coco powder and mix vanilla essence and red color to make a paste.
  5. Now add the above paste to the creamed mixture.
  6. To the obtained mixture add half quantity of curd and flour and mix it well.
  7. After the batter becomes smooth, add rest of the curd and flour and mix continuously.
  8. Add salt to the batter.
  9. Mix baking soda with vinegar and add it to the batter and mix it thoroughly.
  10. Now the batter is ready, so pour it into the cup cake mould and bake it.
  11. After baking, apply whipped cream and tuilles for garnishing.
