ABOUT Cheesy Taro Rolls RECIPE

Mix vegetables and grated cheese stuffed inside mashed Taro(Arbi) roots.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Taro roots(Arbi) half kg
  2. Bread slices 4(crumbled)
  3. 1 medium Onion(chopped)
  4. 1 and half tsp Garlic(chopped)
  5. 1 and half tsp Ginger Juliennes
  6. 2 Green chillies(Chopped)
  7. 2 Tbsp Coriander( Finely chopped)
  8. Mix veggies (beans, mushroom, carrots, broccoli, peas, half boiled corn) each half cup chopped
  9. Capsicum( Red, yellow, green) each half cup chopped
  10. 1 tsp garam masala
  11. 1 cup grated cheese
  12. 2 Tbsp italian seasoning
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil taro roots(arbi) in a cooker for one whistle(high flame) and 10 minutes(low flame)
  2. Mash these arbi and heat 2 tbsp cooking oil in a pan, add garlic, ginger and onions, saute for 2-3 minutes, add green chillies and mashed arbi, salt, garam masala powder, stir for 2 mins over medium flame.
  3. Remove from the flame and add coriander and crumbled bread slices to it.
  4. Add 2 tbsp of cooking oil in the pan, add chopped vegetables, salt and stir fry for 2-3 mins, remove from the flame and add italian seasonings.
  5. Divide arbi and bread dough in equal parts, stuff this dough with mix veggies and grated cheese as fillings and shape them in oval rolls.
  6. Dip these rolls in a cornflour batter and coat it with bread crumbs
  7. Now deep fry these rolls till they turn golden in color.
