Ingredients to make Lauki ki sabji( no onion garlic)

  • lauki - 1/2 kg
  • red chilli - 1 big
  • cumin seeds / methi seeds - 1/2 tspn
  • salt - 1/2 tspn
  • Sendha namak/ rock salt
  • Water if lauki dont leaves water

How to make Lauki ki sabji( no onion garlic)

  1. PEEL THE LAUKI AND CUT IT INTO SECTIONS
  2. FURTHER CUT IT INTO SMALL PARTS
  3. THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE CUT
  4. HEAT OIL/GHEE IN PAN, ADD CUMIN SEEDS, CHILLIES(RED OR GREEN)
  5. NOW ADD THE CHOPPED LAUKI
  6. SAUTE A LITTLE AND COVER FOR 5 MIN. ADD HALDI AND SALT
  7. COOK BY COVERING ON LOW FLAME
  8. CHECK IN BETWEEN IF LAUKI HAS BECOME TENDER
  9. ADD WATER. COVER AND COOK FOR 5 MIN ON HIGH FLAME
  10. REMOVE LID, CHECK IF WATER HAS EVAPORATED. SWITCH OFF.
