Ingredients to make Pumpkin halwa

  • 1 cup pumpkin (250 grams)
  • 1 small cup jaggery (200 grams)
  • 1 cardamom
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 10 raisins
  • 8 cashews
  • water as required

How to make Pumpkin halwa

  1. TAKE YELLOW PUMPKIN
  2. REMOVE SEEDS AND PEEL
  3. CLEAN
  4. CHOP INTO SMALL CUBES,SMALLER THE BETTER
  5. ADD PUMPKIN PIECES IN A KADAI,ADD WATER
  6. COOK TILL THEY BECOME SOFT
  7. MAKE INTO PASTE
  8. TAKE 1 CUP PUMPKIN PUREE,1 SMALL CUP JAGGERY,1 CARDAMOM
  9. TAKE A KADAI ADD 1 TBSP GHEE,ADD CASHEWS
  10. FRY THEM
  11. TAKE INTO A PLATE
  12. ADD RAISINS,FRY AND TAKE INTO PLATE
  13. NOW ADD PUMPKIN PUREE TO SAME KADAI
  14. STIR-FRY FOR ABOUT 3 MINUTES OVER LOW HEAT OR UNTIL IT'S RAW SMELL LEAVES.
  15. ADD 1 CRUSHED CARDAMOM
  16. ADD JAGGERY TO IT AND MIX WELL
  17. COOK THE MIXTURE ,STIRRING IT OFTEN TILL IT THICKENS
  18. PUMPKIN HALWA IS READY
