Ingredients to make Yin yang platter

  • Boiled pasta 1cup
  • Cheese white sauce 1cup (recipe given below)
  • Cooked rice 1cup
  • Marinara sauce 1cup(recipe given below)
  • Mix vegetables ( blanched carrot, boiled corn, chopped capsicum,) 1cup
  • Cheese 2 cubes
  • olives 3tbs
  • Mix herbs 1tbs

How to make Yin yang platter

  1. For white sauce- Heat 1tbs butter, add 1tbs wheat flour & cook it. Add 1cup warm milk mix well add 1tbs sugar, 1tsp salt, 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder, 1 tsp black pepper powder, 1 cube cheese grated.
  2. For Marinara sauce- Blanche 6 tomatoes & make tomato puree. Cook chopped garlic in 1 tbs butter add 1 finely chopped onion cook well. Add tomato puree, salt , sugar, mix herbs, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, 2tbs tomato sauce & 2tbs cornflour mixed in 2 tbs water. Add dry or fresh basil.
  3. In a pan heat 1 tbs butter toss boiled pasta add white sauce. Keep aside.
  4. In other pan heat 1 tbs of butter add chopped mixed vegetables & cook well. Add cooked rice in it add salt, mix herbs, chili flakes. Now add marinara sauce. Keep aside.
  5. Serve pasta and vegetable rice in baking dish in Yin yang shape. Add cheese on pasta & put two olives.
  6. Bake for 5 minutes at 180*c. Serve hot.
