ABOUT MILLET PEANUTS AND SESAME LADDUS ! RECIPE

Millet peanuts and sesame Laddus are healthy and very yummy dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Finger Millet Flour- 300 gms
  2. Peanuts/Mungfali - 200 gms
  3. Black Sesame seeds - 100 gms
  4. Jaggery - 300 gms
  5. Ghee- 3 Tbsps
  6. Salt- a pinch

Instructions

  1. MILLET PEANUTS AND SESAME LADDU ! BY RAMANI THIAGARAJAN !
  2. Dry roast Finger Millet Powder low heat stirring constantly until you get an aroma of roasted flour
  3. Roast Peanuts/Mungfali until light brown !
  4. Dry roast Sesame seeds until it splutters !
  5. Add warm water and little salt to the Finger Millet Powder.Mix well !
  6. Make nonsticky dough balls !
  7. Grind Peanuts,Sesame seeds,Jaggery separately in a Mixie jar !
  8. Make Millet Flour balls in to Rotis and cook over low heat !
  9. Brush little Ghee both sides .Flip and cook !
  10. Repeat the same process for the remaining dough !
  11. Flip and cook over low heat both sides !
  12. Tear the cooked Rotis and add the pieces in to a Mixie jar and grind !
  13. To that add ground peanuts powder,Sesame powder !
  14. Add jaggery and grind !
  15. Remove the mixture from the jar and make Laddus !
  16. Finger Millet Laddus are ready !
  17. Decorate the Laddus !
  18. Millet Laddus !

This authentic recipe is a good source of Calcium and very good source of iron ! And this traditional dish is usually made in Stone grinder ! Jaggery,Peanuts and Finger Millet Rotis are blended on Stone Grinder !
