Besan ki Barfi

Ingredients to make Besan ki Barfi

  • 1 kilo besan {gramflour}
  • 1/2 kg ghee /vanaspati
  • sugar 1 and 1/2 kg
  • Dry fruits of your choice for garnishing

How to make Besan ki Barfi

  1. In a kadai, add ghee, when it melts add gram flour.
  2. Roast it over a low flame till the besan becomes brown.
  3. Prepare sugar syrup of 1 thread consistency with 1 and 1/2 kg sugar = 250 gms water.
  4. Add in roasted besan and mix evenly.
  5. Grease a plate with little ghee and add besan over it.
  6. You can add chopped dry fruits /nariyal boora if you wish.
  7. Cut it when it gets cooled.

My Tip:

Add dry fruits of your own choice and make it more rich. You can use it for 15- 20 days.
