ABOUT Maharastrian Style Green Chili Garlic Chutney/ Hirvya Mirchicha Thecha RECIPE

This is the heirloom recipe of my home. We love spicy food in my parents home, everyone loves Mirchicha thecha. I always make this chutney, so I can fulfill my cravings for spicy/hot food.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Green chilies 8
  2. Garlic Cloves (Cleaned randomly) 4-5
  3. Coriander( finely chopped) 2 Tbsp
  4. Oil 2-3 tbsp
  5. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Roast green chilies in a pan on medium heat for a minute, keep stirring. Roast till chilies get brown spots and become little soft.
  2. Add garlic and roast for 30 seconds.
  3. Now shift them into mortar and pestle, add salt and crush it coarsely.
  4. Add chopped coriander and oil and mix well.
  5. Thecha is ready to be served. Enjoy with bajarichi bhakri/bajra roti and onion.
