Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 2 cups : Green whole Moong
  2. 1/2 cup : Rice
  3. 2 tbsp : Finely chopped Ginger
  4. 1 large : Onion finely chopped
  5. Few Scallions / Green onions chopped
  6. Few sprigs coriander chopped
  7. Few curry leaves chopped
  8. 8 to 10 nos : Green chillies crushed
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 2 tbsp : Coriander seeds
  11. 1/4 cup : Rice flour(optional)
  12. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak Green moong along with rice for atleast 6 to 8 hrs or until doubled in size.
  2. Later drain the water and grind them into slightly coarse paste adding as little water as possible.
  3. Now scoop the paste into a mixing bowl.
  4. Next add the chopped onions, Ginger, scallions, coriander, curry leaves, Coriander seeds, crushed green chillies and salt.
  5. Give this a good stir until well incorporated.
  6. Now start heating up the oil for deep frying the fritters.
  7. Drop in a spoonful of batter at a time like bhajiyas into the hot oil.
  8. Fry them on medium high heat until golden on all the sides.
  9. Later remove and drain on a paper towel and serve them hot with ketchup, green chutney or authentic Allam pachadi.
  10. Crispy exteriors with softer interiors are definitely a crowd pleaser. Make and enjoy.
