ABOUT Ragi Idiyappam RECIPE

This is a simple homemade ragi idiyappam with ragi flour

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Ragi Flour - 1 cup
  2. Rice flour - 2 tablespoon
  3. salt - a pinch
  4. Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
  5. Palm Sugar - 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Boil a cup of water
  2. Place the ragi flour, rice flour and salt together in a vessel
  3. Add the boiling water little by little to the flour and mix them with the ladle
  4. Make them into a fine and thick dough using your hands
  5. Now,take a handful of dough ,roll it and place it into a idiyappam maker
  6. Start making idiyappam on a plate and place it in the steamer
  7. Steam for about 8 to 10 minutes on a medium flame
  8. Garnish with Palm sugar and grated coconut to serve
  9. You can also have it with coconut milk which is optional
