About Rice Ball Recipe

Easily you could make a finger licking snack or finger food for after school kids with left over cooked rice and handful of preferable veggies.

Rice Ball

Ingredients to make Rice Ball

  • Cooked rice - 1 Cup
  • rice Flour - 1/2 Cup
  • Grated carrot - 1/2 Cup
  • Grated zucchini - 1/3 Cup
  • Frozen Green peas - 1/4 Cup (optional)
  • onions (finely chopped) - 1/4 Cup
  • ginger paste - 1 tsp
  • Green chilli (paste or chopped) - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp (optional)
  • salt - as per your taste
  • oil - for deep frying

How to make Rice Ball

  1. In a bowl take the cooked rice. **You can use any type of rice. I use brown rice.**
  2. Add the rice flour.
  3. Add grated veggies.
  4. Add salt, sugar, chilli and ginger paste.
  5. Combine everything, mix till the mixture binds well.
  6. If you need you can add little bit water for binding together.
  7. Divide the mixture into equal portions.
  8. On medium flame heat the oil in a deep pan.
  9. Shape those portions into balls and drop them into hot oil. **Don't over crowd in the pan**.
  10. Fry them until they turn golden brown from all sides.

My Tip:

Rice should be in room temperature.
