ABOUT Corn meal_potato flat bread. RECIPE

These parathe are made of maize flour or corn meal flour with potato and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Corn meal (maize flour)1.5 cups.
  2. Sorghum (jowar flour)1/2cup.
  3. Boiled potatoe 1/2cup.
  4. Chopped green chillies 1table spoon.
  5. Chopped coriander leaves 1/2cup.
  6. Carom seeds 1tea spoon.
  7. Red chilly powder 1tea spoon.
  8. Turmeric powder 1tea spoon.
  9. Ghee 1table spoon +1/2cup.
  10. Salt to taste.

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes and mash.Keep aside.
  2. Take both the flours in a bowl,addall the ingredients exept 1/2cup ghee which is meant for frying.
  3. Add mashed potatoes and make a semi hard dough by adding some water.
  4. Cover the dough and leave for 10minutes.
  5. Divide dough into 6 equal portion.Roll each portion into a 1/2cm thick flat bread(paratha).
  6. Heat a tawa and cook on low/medium flame for 5_6 minutes till golden.
  7. Apply 1tea spoon ghee on each side of parath and further cook till lovely golden colour.
  8. Cook all parathe in same manner.
  9. Serve hot with salad/pickle or chutney of your choice.
