ABOUT BUTTER CHICKEN RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For chicken marination
  2. 1. Chicken  - 250gm          
  3. 2. Red Chilli powder  -  1tspn
  4. 3. Garam masala  - 1/4 tspn          
  5. 4. Ginger garlic paste  -  1 tbspn
  6. 5. Lime juice  -  1 tbspn            
  7. 6. Salt to taste            
  8. 7. Oil for frying
  9. For the gravy
  10. 1. Onion  -  1 big chopped          
  11. 2. Tomato  -  3 big chopped            
  12. 3. Cashew nuts  -  12 cashews
  13. 4. Garlic paste  -  1 tbspn        
  14. 5. Kasoori methi  -  1 tspn            
  15. 6. Garam masala  -  1/2 tspn
  16. 7. Sugar  - 1 tbspn
  17. 8. Kashmiri red chilli powder  -  1 and half  tbspn
  18. 9. Butter  -  5 tbspn
  19. 10. Fresh cream  -  3 tbspn
  20. 11. Salt to taste
  21. 12. Water
  22. 13. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with red chilli powder, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, lime juice and salt and keep it aside for 15 - 20 minutes.
  2. In a pan heat some oil, fry the marinated chicken in it. Once done, keep aside.
  3. In a pan add 2 tbspn butter, onion and once the onions are cooked add tomatoes and cashew nuts. Add some water, garlic paste, salt, sugar, garam masala and kashmiri red chilli powder. Evenly mix it and let it simmer for 15 - 20 minutes.
  4. Once cooked, remove from fire and wait for this mix to get cool.
  5. After the mix gets cool, grind it to a fine paste. Using a sieve drain the puree.
  6. Pour this puree in a pan and heat it.
  7. Add remaining 3 tbspn butter, fresh cream, fried chicken and kasoori methi. Let it simmer for 5 to 7 minutes.
  8. Check the taste and add lacking things according to your taste. Garnish it with fresh cream and coriander leaves.
  9. Butter Chicken is ready to be served.
