Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 kg chicken cut into medium size pieces
  2. 3 large onions sliced finely
  3. 2 teaspoon chilli powder
  4. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  5. 2 tablespoon oil
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 2 teaspoon garlic paste
  8. 2 small sticks cinnamon
  9. 4 cloves
  10. 2 cardamoms
  11. 6 or 8 whole pepper corns
  12. 2 Dry Red Chillies broken into bits

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, red chilli and peppercorns lightly. Add the chicken, mix in the garlic paste and saute for about 5 minutes on medium heat. Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
  2. Mix well and stir fry for a few minutes. Add ½ cup of water and cook till the chicken is tender and the gravy is quite thick.
