This was my mother's recipe but she learned it from watching her mother make it, since I never met my nani, this recipe is my food memory of her.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 corn on the Cob (pre-cooked), cut into 5-6 pieces
  2. ½ cup onion puree
  3. 1 TBSP garlic PASTE
  4. 1 tsp ginger paste
  5. 4 tbsp tomato puree
  6. 1 tbsp kasuri methi
  7. 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
  8. 1 tsp zeera powder
  9. ½ Tsp turmeric Powder
  10. 1 tsp coriander powder
  11. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  12. 1 Dry red chilli
  13. 4 tbsp cooking oil


  1. Heat the oil, stir fry the garlic and ginger for a minute, till fragrant but not brown.
  2. Mix the masalas and salt with the tomato puree.
  3. Add to the onion puree and the masala mix and fry till oil separates. Add 1 cup of warm water and the corn on the cob pieces.
  4. Simmer for 4-6 minutes. Gently stir in the cream and let the curry thicken.
  5. Add the kasuri methi and fresh coriander and simmer for another 3-4 minutes. Serve hot with roti, puri or rice.
