Daal fry is one of the simple and delicious food to serve. It is very easy and quick to cook. You can prepare it on lunch, dinner or any get together.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 Bowl Peigon peas or Tool Daal
  2. 4 tomatos
  3. 4 Green chillis
  4. 2 Spoo. green coriander
  5. 1 Tsp cumin Seeds
  6. 2 Spoon ghee
  7. 1 Pinch Heeng
  8. 1 Tsp Tumeric Powder
  9. 2 Dry Red Chilli
  10. 1 Spoon salt


  1. Firstly wash toor daal properly.
  2. Transfer daal in to cooker and add 3 bowl of water.
  3. Cook till 1 whistle. Off the flame.
  4. Grind tomatoes and chillis and make a smooth paste.
  5. After 10 minutes Whistle will released.
  6. Now heat ghee in a pan.
  7. Add dry chilli, cumin seeds, heeng and turmeric powder. Roast the spices.
  8. Now add tomato paste and cook untill it starts to leave pan.
  9. Add salt and mix.
  10. Now add cooked daal and mix lightly.
  11. Take one boil and off the flame.
  12. Transfer in a serving bowl and garnish with coriander.
