ABOUT carrot rava caramel Swiss roll RECIPE

Halwa is a age old popular sweet dish for the festive season. This dish is a fusion of traditional carrot halwa with caramel infused rava halwa.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 large carrots
  2. 5-6 cups of milk
  3. 2 cups of condensed milk
  4. 1/2 cup milk powder
  5. 1/4 cup sugar.
  6. 1 cup rava
  7. 1/4 cup Hershey’s caramel syrup
  8. 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  9. some raisins for decoration

Instructions

  1. wash and peel 2 large carrots. Grate them.
  2. Add grated carrot , milk and sugar on heat. cook them on low flame
  3. When it almost done, add condensed milk , ghee and milk powder to it. mix well and cook for few more minutes
  4. switch off the flame. Add cardamom powder. mix well.
  5. on a cling wrap sheet spread the warm carrot halwa evenly in rectangular shape .
  6. In another pan dry roast rava .
  7. Add milk, condensed milk and milk powder to it. cook them on low flame.
  8. When it become little thick, add Hershey’s caramel syrup. switch of the flame . mix them well.
  9. spread the hot caramelised rava halwa evenly on top of carrot halwa.
  10. Roll it same as Swiss roll rolling. pack it properly and keep it in deep freeze for 2-3 hours for setting.
  11. Remove it from freezer. It is now set well to cut in pieces.
  12. Cut them in 1/2 inch slices and decorate them according to your choice.
