Namakpara

Ingredients to make Namakpara

  • all purpose flour 1 cup
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp carom seeds
  • 1 glass water
  • oil for deep frying

How to make Namakpara

  1. TAKE 1 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR, ADD 1 TBSP EACH OF SALT & GHEE, MIX WELL
  2. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER TO KNEAD A DOUGH
  3. MAKE IT AS A SEMI-SOFT DOUGH LIKE THIS
  4. ADD 1/4 TSP CAROM SEEDS, MIX, COVER & SET ASIDE FOR 15 MINS
  5. NOW KNEAD THE DOUGH FOR 2 MINS, ROLL OUT TO MAKE A THIN ROTI, CUT INTO DESIRED SHAPES
  6. CAREFULLY REMOVE THE PIECES FROM THE SURFACE
  7. DEEP FRY IN HOT OIL IN BATCHES
  8. FLIP & FRY FROM BOTH SIDES TILL GOLDEN BROWN & CRISP
  9. DRAIN ON TISSUE PAPER, ALLOW TO COOL THOROUGHLY, STORE IN AN AIRTIGHT CONTAINER
