Sweet Kachori

Ingredients to make Sweet Kachori

  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1/2 cup sugar (or as per taste)
  • 2 tbsp cashew tukda
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 finely chopped green chilli (or as per taste)
  • salt to taste
  • For Outer Cover:
  • 2 cups dehydrated potato flakes (or 3 large boiled potatoes)
  • 4-5 tbsp singada flour
  • salt to taste
  • ghee/oil for deep frying

How to make Sweet Kachori

  1. Combine potato flakes, singada flour and salt together.
  2. Add enough water to form a semi soft dough. Cover the dough to prevent drying out.
  3. Combine all the stuffing ingredients together.
  4. Keep ghee/oil to heat in deep saucepan for frying the Kachori.
  5. Make equal sized balls of dough and make a hollow in it. Put stuffing in the center of the dough and seal it well from all sides to form a ball. Dust them with singada flour. Shake off excess flour.
  6. Deep fry on medium hot oil/ghee till golden brown.

My Tip:

Do not keep stuffing out for long as the coconut and sugar tends to sweat and the Kachori dough will become wet and will not hold shape.
