Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Besan / Chickpea flour - 1 cup
  2. Caster sugar - 1/2 cup
  3. Softened Butter - 1/2 cup
  4. Salt - a pinch
  5. Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  7. Pistachio or cashew nut - 5-6 (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Besan and baking powder in a wide bowl.
  2. Sieve them for 2-3 times.
  3. Cream the butter, sugar and cardamom powder in a wide bowl until it becomes fluffy and soft.
  4. Add salt and sieved flour mixture.
  5. Knead them into a soft and smooth dough. **no need to add water.**
  6. Pre heat the oven at 180 degree celsius.
  7. Get ready a baking tray along with a baking sheet.
  8. Divide the dough into small balls and press them slightly between your palm.
  9. Place them on the baking tray and put some chopped nuts at the centre of those balls.
  10. Bake them for 12-15 minutes or they turn into nice and brown.
  11. Take it out from the oven and let it cool down for 10-15 minutes in the baking tray.
  12. Transfer them on a wire rack to cool completely.
  13. Store them in an airtight container.
