Ingredients to make Laapsi

  • 1 cup daliya/laapsi rawa
  • 1/4 cup clarified butter
  • 1 cup sugar/jaggery
  • Dry fruits
  • 1 glass water and 1 cup milk
  • cardamom and nutmeg
  • pinch of salt

How to make Laapsi

  1. Heat ghee in pressure cooker, roast on a low heat till you get the wheatish aroma(around 5 min),add dry fruits and roast them a little,add jaggery or sugar,a pinch of salt and stir for a while till jaggery/sugar melts,add a little water
  2. In a separate pan boil water and milk.Add this to the cooker mix. add cardamom and nutmeg powder. Pressure cook for 10 min.Garnish and serve.

My Tip:

Whipping cream and chocolate sauce both add to the taste.
