ABOUT Laapsi RECIPE

Its a traditional maharashtrian sweet dish.was earlier consumed during hard work including delivered female when caloric and nutritional requirement increase.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup daliya/laapsi rawa
  2. 1/4 cup clarified butter
  3. 1 cup sugar/jaggery
  4. Dry fruits
  5. 1 glass water and 1 cup milk
  6. Cardamom and nutmeg
  7. pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in pressure cooker, roast on a low heat till you get the wheatish aroma(around 5 min),add dry fruits and roast them a little,add jaggery or sugar,a pinch of salt and stir for a while till jaggery/sugar melts,add a little water
  2. In a separate pan boil water and milk.Add this to the cooker mix. add cardamom and nutmeg powder. Pressure cook for 10 min.Garnish and serve.
