Gram Flour/Besan Muffins

Ingredients to make Gram Flour/Besan Muffins

  • gram flour/Besan 1 1/4 cup
  • Red pepper diced 1/2Cup
  • water 1 1/2 cup
  • Parmesan cheese 1Tbsp
  • Extra virgin olive oil 1 1/2 Tbsp
  • garlic crushed and minced 1-2 cloves
  • onion diced 1/2Cup
  • salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper 1Tsp

How to make Gram Flour/Besan Muffins

  1. Preheat the oven to 250*C for 10 minutes.
  2. Line the muffin pan with muffin paper cups and keep aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mix the gram flour, water, parmesan cheese,salt,black pepper and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  4. Mix everything nicely make sure there is no lumps in the batter.
  5. In a small pan heat 1/2Tbsp of olive oil and saute the garlic, then add onion and bell pepper and continue to fry for 3-5 minutes.
  6. Add the sauted vegetables to the flour mixture in the bowl and combine all of the ingredients together thoroughly,
  7. Pour this batter into the paper muffin cups and put in the oven for around 20 minutes.
  8. After 20 minutes open the oven door (to allow the steam to escape)  and bake for around another  10 minutes with the door open.
  9. Serve hot or cold, and enjoy.

My Tip:

Egg can be added to the recipe. Whisk 1 egg and add to the batter after adding vegetables.
