ABOUT Maacher Kalia RECIPE

I have been brought up largely by my grandparents and they had doted upon me. There are certain dishes that I strongly associate with my "didu" or grandma as we call her in Bangla. She used to make sure that the family eats healthy all the time. We had liberal doses of green leafy vegetables, all kinds of roots and shoots, all seasonal veggies. And of course FISH!!! This is a very simple yet tasty recipe that every Bengali must be familiar with.
