Flavoured Caramel Bread Pudding

Ingredients to make Flavoured Caramel Bread Pudding

  • Caramel
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • egg 7
  • sugar 1 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 tbsp
  • Milk 1 1/2 litres
  • Custard powder 1/4 cup
  • Bread 8
  • butter 50gms
  • Orange marmalade 1/4cup

How to make Flavoured Caramel Bread Pudding

  1. HEAT AN ALUMINUM BAKING PAN, ADD 1/2 CUP SUGAR
  2. ALLOW THE SUGAR TO MELT ON LOW HEAT, KEEP SWIRLING THE PAN FOR EVEN COOKING
  3. WHEN IT TURNS GOLDEN LIKE THIS, TAKE OFF HEAT, ALLOW THE CARAMEL SYRUP TO COOL
  4. ADD 7 EGGS, 1.5 CUPS SUGAR TO A MIXER JAR
  5. ADD 1 TBSP VANILLA ESSENCE
  6. ADD 1/4 CUP VANILLA CUSTARD POWDER, BLEND UNTIL THE SUGAR DISSOLVES
  7. MAKE A SMOOTH, FOAMY MIX LIKE THIS
  8. ADD THE WHIPPED MIXTURE OVER THE COOLED CARAMEL SYRUP, ADD 1.5 LITRES MILK
  9. GRILL 8 SLICES OF BREAD, APPLY BUTTER & JAM
  10. CUT INTO TRIANGLES, PLACE ON TOP OF THE PUDDING
  11. SOAK THE BREAD FOR 10 MINS
  12. BAKE IN A PREHEATED OVEN FOR 40-50 MINS UNTIL THE CRUST TURNS GOLDEN
  13. CHECK TO SEE IF IT'S DONE
  14. APPLY ORANGE MARMALADE, SLICE & SERVE
