Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Tamarind 100gm
  2. Besan 3 cups
  3. Curd 1 cup
  4. Sugar 1 spoon
  5. Eno 1 sachet
  6. Rai seeds
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Green chillies
  9. Coriander leaves
  10. Water 1 /2 cup
  11. Butter 1 spoon (melted) for greasing
  12. Suji 1 1/2 spoon
  13. Oil for tempering

Instructions

  1. Mix curd, suji, besan and water, make a consistent batter.
  2. Add eno and salt.
  3. Grease a vessel and add the mixture.
  4. Boil water in a pressure cooker or any other thick bottom pan and keep the vessel with batter in it cover the lid do not put to whistle, keep it covered for 20 minutes on medium flame.
  5. Turn the gas off and let the vessel cool.
  6. Prepare the tempering with rai seeds and green chillies.
  7. Remove the dhokla from the vessel, cut into pieces.
  8. Pour the tempering, add tamarind water and sugar water.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  10. Let it cool in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  11. Serve with chutney.
