Gooseberry Candy

Ingredients to make Gooseberry Candy

  • 1 kg gooseberry
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 1 tbsp black salt
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp cumin powder

How to make Gooseberry Candy

  1. Boil gooseberry by giving 1 or 2 whistle in a pressure cooker.
  2. Cut into portions.
  3. Take a glass bowl and place gooseberry in it.
  4. Place sugar on the top of it and salt and black salt
  5. Keep it in sunlight for around 3 to 4 days
  6. After 4 days strain the gooseberry from the sugar syrup and again keep it in sunlight for 2 days
  7. Add cumin powder and store it in jar
  8. The sugar syrup is used as amla sharbat or gooseberry juice

My Tip:

Take gooseberry that is big in size for this recipe.
