ABOUT Gooseberry Candy RECIPE

Another healthy recipe taught by my grand mother.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 kg gooseberry
  2. 1 kg Sugar
  3. 1 tbsp black salt
  4. 1/2 tbsp salt
  5. 2 tsp cumin powder

Instructions

  1. Boil gooseberry by giving 1 or 2 whistle in a pressure cooker.
  2. Cut into portions.
  3. Take a glass bowl and place gooseberry in it.
  4. Place sugar on the top of it and salt and black salt
  5. Keep it in sunlight for around 3 to 4 days
  6. After 4 days strain the gooseberry from the sugar syrup and again keep it in sunlight for 2 days
  7. Add cumin powder and store it in jar
  8. The sugar syrup is used as amla sharbat or gooseberry juice

Will it be orange colour like in the picture or we have to add food colour? thanks in advance

gooseberry is known as amla in hindi
