During navratra my grand mother-in-law used to make this..very easy to made.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 5-6 medium size potatoes, boiled
  2. 2.5 tsp cumin seeds
  3. 1 cup coriander leaves
  4. 2-3 green chillies,chopped
  5. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  7. 3-4 tsp lemon juice
  8. 3 tbsp oil
  9. sendha namak/rock salt

Instructions

  1. Peel the boiled potatoes and cut into cubes.
  2. In a pan heat oil, add jeera and let these sizzle in the oil.
  3. Now add green chilli and fry for a minute.
  4. Add the potato cubes and mix it well with the jeera and chillies.
  5. Sprinkle the turmeric powder,red chilli powder and rock salt.
  6. Saute the potatoes for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Mix the whole mixture well for a minute.
  9. Serve jeera aloo hot.
