A simple Indian desert that is so very yummy.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. A small packet of bread
  2. Milk 750 ml
  3. Orange colour 1/2tsp
  4. Sugar 2 tbsp
  5. Milkmaid 2 tbsp
  6. Kesar few strands
  7. chopped nuts for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Soak the kesar strands in warm water .Boil the milk then add sugar and 1 1/2 tbsp of milkmaid.
  2. Let it simmer on slow flame for about 10 mins.
  3. In the meanwhile cut the sides of d bread slices and fry untill golden (shallow or deep fry its your wish , I shallow fried).
  4. Switch off the flame of milk and add the soaked kesar and color.
  5. Take a thaal or alluminium tray and pour a little of milk in it then arrange the bread slices.
  6. Pour over the remaining milk on the bread slices.
  7. Now cook this on medium high heat until a very little amount of milk remains.
  8. Keep on turning the tray at regular intervals.
  9. Now garnish with chopped nuts and the remaining milkmaid.
  10. Refrigerate and serve cold.
