Ingredients to make Pasta- Aglio e olio

  • Spaghetti 400 gms
  • garlic 40 gms
  • chilli flakes 5 gms
  • olive oil 40 ml
  • parsley 5 gms
  • salt 5 gms
  • pepper 5 gms
  • butter 20 gms
  • Parmesan 20 gms

How to make Pasta- Aglio e olio

  1. Boil pasta in 3 times the water with some salt added. (Spaghetti will cook quicker than other pastas).
  2. Remove off the heat before it is done as it will continue to cook, cool if it is to be used later. Toss in some oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Peel and crush the garlic and chop, chop the parsley finely.
  4. Heat oil, add garlic, chilli flakes and toss spaghetti in it, season and sprinkle some parsley.
  5. Toss some butter for taste, gloss and moisture.
  6. Serve in a pasta plate and top it with parmesan.

Try adding the parsley once the garlic is done. And then add the spaghetti, cheese and a dash of lemon juice to just make it fragrant and tangy! :) olives and onions are a nice addition to it too :)
