ABOUT Barbecue chicken pizza RECIPE

Who doesn't love a slice of cheesy pizza topped with delicious barbecue chicken? And to make it even easier I made this pizza without oven and the pizza dough requires no yeast. This is a huge hit among my friends and family.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. All purpose flour 2 cups
  2. Baking powder 2 teaspoons
  3. Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Oregano 1 teaspoon
  5. Ground black pepper 1 teaspoon
  6. Soyabean oil 8 teaspoons
  7. Sour curd 4 tablespoons
  8. Milk as needed
  9. Boneless Chicken 250 grams
  10. Chopped onions 1/2 cup
  11. Chopped capsicum 1/2 cup
  12. Ginger garlic paste 1 and a half teaspoons
  13. salt as per taste
  14. Chopped green chillies as per taste
  15. Barbeque sauce 5 tablespoons
  16. Tomato sauce 2 teaspoons
  17. Pizza sauce 2 teaspoons
  18. shredded mozzarella cheese 1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl take the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt as per taste, 1/2 a teaspoon of oregano and 1/2 a teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper. Mix it all with a spoon or a whisk.
  2. To the flour mixture, add 4 teaspoons of soyabean oil and the curd and mix properly but don't knead it.
  3. To this, add lukewarm milk and then knead it properly until you get a soft, smooth dough. Apply some soyabean oil all over the dough, wrap the bowl with cling wrap and let it rest for 2 hours.
  4. Take a pan or kadhai and heat 3 teaspoons of oil. Add 1/4 cup of chopped onions and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  5. To this, add the ginger garlic paste and fry until the nice aroma comes out.
  6. Chop the chicken into little pieces and add it to the pan, add some salt and fry it on high heat. Then add 1/2 a teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper, coriander powder, cumin powder and saute. Then cover the chicken and let it become tender on low heat.
  7. Now add the green chillies and 1/4 cup of chopped capsicum and saute for 2 minutes.
  8. Add 3 tablepoons of barbecue sauce and 2 teaspoons of tomato sauce. Mix it properly with the chicken and turn off the heat.
  9. Knead the dough again for 1-2 minutes and roll it with a rolling pin or using your hand. The sides should be thick. Place it on a floured, flat frying pan.
  10. Make some holes on the pizza base using a fork.
  11. In a bowl mix together 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce and 2 teaspoons of pizza sauce.
  12. Apply this sauce on the pizza base.
  13. Top the pizza with the barbeque chicken and spread 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella on it.
  14. Then add the remaining chopped capsicum and onions. Spread the rest of the cheese on top and sprinkle 1/2 a teaspoon of oregano.
  15. Apply some soyabean oil to the sides of the pizza base and cover the frying pan with a lid. Cook the pizza on low heat for 9 minutes.
  16. Turn off the flame once the cheese has melted properly.
  17. Serve hot.
