Ingredients to make Beetroot halwa

  • Rava 1 cup
  • 1 grated carrot
  • 1 grated beetroot
  • 3/4th cup sugar
  • ghee 2 tablespoon
  • cardamom powder 1 tablespoon
  • cashew 6-8
  • raisins
  • bay leaf 1

How to make Beetroot halwa

  1. Heat pan, roast rava for 2-3 minutes.Keep aside.
  2. In same kadai add ghee and bay leaves.
  3. Then goes beetroot and carrot.
  4. Saute well.
  5. Add sugar, fry for 5 minutes.
  6. When all water evaporates from this mixture.
  7. Add cardamom powder.
  8. Then add 2 cups water.
  9. Wait for 5 minutes.
  10. Pour rava and stir quickly.
  11. Make sure there will be no lumps.
  12. Then add fried cashew and raisins.
  13. Mix well.

My Tip:

Before serving pour 1/2 tablespoon ghee.
