ABOUT Beetroot Pachadi RECIPE

This dish has been an Onam special at home for ages!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup beetroot (chopped)
  2. 3-4 button onions (sliced)
  3. ½ teaspoon green chilli (chopped)
  4. 2 cup curd
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  7. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds (ground)
  8. 1 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  1. Boil the beetroot with salt in half cup of water. Remove from fire when the water dries up.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and splutter 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds. Add button onions and green chilli and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add boiled beetroot and mix well and remove from fire.
  4. Once cooled, add curd and ground mustard seeds and mix well.
