ABOUT Vada paav shots RECIPE

this is my version of a creative vada paav shots, which is perfect for any party occasion and now we can also have vada paav during parties . came up with a new twist

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the vada:
  2. ½ kg potatoes boiled and mashed
  3. 1 tbsp. of jeera
  4. 1 tbsp. Of mustard seeds
  5. 3 no’s of onions
  6. 1 tsp. Ginger garlic paste
  7. ½ tsp. Turmeric powder
  8. 1 lemon juice and its zest
  9. 4 no’s Green chilies
  10. Coriander leaves to garnish
  11. Salt to taste
  12. For the Paav:
  13. 2 pieces Paav bread
  14. For the Garlic Chutney: ½ cup Coconut grated
  15. 12-15 Garlic pods
  16. 2 tsp. Peanuts
  17. 4 TSP. Oil
  18. Salt to taste
  19. 1 tsp. Red chilli powder
  20. To Garnish
  21. 3 tsp. Boondi
  22. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. For the Vada: In a pan add oil and mustard seeds.
  2. Once it starts to crackle add in jeera, and finely chopped onions
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste and chopped chilies.
  4. Add in turmeric powder, lemon juice and its zest.
  5. Now add the boiled and mashed potatoes and stir well.
  6. Add salt to taste and combine well.
  7. Add in coriander leaves for garnishing
  8. Transfer it on a bowl and keep aside
  9. For the Paav: Take two pieces of paav and fry it on a low heated flame
  10. Fry both the sides till crispy and golden brown.
  11. Now transfer to a blender and grind paav to powder.
  12. Keep this aside for later on
  13. For the Garlic Chutney:
  14. In a small pan add in oil and add the garlic pods
  15. Stir fry for a while till the oil gets the flavor of garlic
  16. Now add in peanuts and roast them well and transfer it t o a blender
  17. Add in the grated coconut and the red chilli powder
  18. Blend to a fine mixture without adding water to it.
  19. To assemble:
  20. In a shot Glasses first layer with the prepared Paav bread crumbs
  21. Then top with the prepared Vada with the help of piping bag.
  22. Top with the prepared Garlic Chutney.
  23. And lastly top with some boondi to get a good crunchiness to overall dish.
