Besan Laddoos

Ingredients to make Besan Laddoos

  • Besan (gram flour)- 2 cups
  • sugar - 1/2 cup
  • ghee - 1 cup
  • Mixed Dry Fruits - 1/2 cup (crushed finely, I used almonds and cashews)

How to make Besan Laddoos

  1. Dry roast besan for 2 minutes and add heat ghee.
  2. Keep stirring and roasting on low flame until the golden colour is achieved and ghee starts leaving the sides approximately 10-12 minutes.
  3. Now is the time your house will be filled with your childhood sweet memories with ghee roasted besan.
  4. Now switch off the flame and add sugar. Mix well until completely incorporated.
  5. Add crushed nuts, mix thoroughly and let it cool.
  6. Once cooled, shape them round and store in an airtight container.
  7. If you wish, you may garnish with sliced almonds or pistachios.

My Tip:

While adding sugar, the flame should be switched off and you can avoid the sugar lumps in the mix.
