Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Black eyed beans- 1 cup (soaked overnight)
  2. Onions finely chopped- 2 large
  3. Tomatoes finely chopped- 2 medium
  4. Green chili chopped- 1
  5. Oil- 2 tbsp
  6. Red chili powder- 1/2 tsp
  7. Coriander powder- 3tsp
  8. Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp
  9. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add finely chopped onions and saute it till brown in color.
  2. Then add finely chopped tomatoes,finely chopped green chili and pressure cook it for 1 whistle.
  3. Drain the water from soaked black eyed beans.
  4. Now add black eyed beans, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and 1 cup of water to it.
  5. Pressure cook it for 1 whistle on high flame and then lower the flame . And cook it for 1 whistle on low flame.
  6. If not done then cook it for few more minutes till it is done
  7. Serve it with chapati.
