Moon cakes consist of a thin layer of pastry wrapped around a dense filling. Puran Poli is a Maharashtrian recipe made with chana dal, flour and cardamom and jaggery. This delicious side dish recipe is an extremely rich in flavours and is a great option to serve on festivals. Living in Maharashtra, over the years I realized that puranpoli was the dish that contained the essence of Maharashtra. So I decided to fuse these two.The result I got was beyond my expectations.Never thought that how India could beautifully blend into Chinese cuisine.Do give this a try !
