Anytime Snack with very little oil.The sour and sweet taste makes it more delicious.Easy to make and can be stored for about 20 days.So its easy to carry ,pack and will definitely stave off your cravings for street foods during travelling.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1/2 kg Nylon poha
  2. 1 cup. Roasted peanuts
  3. 1 cup dry coconut(cut into strips)
  4. 1/2 cup futana dal
  5. 3/4 cup Cashewnut, Almond,(cut into half)
  6. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  7. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  8. 1 tsp Sesame seeds
  9. 1 tsp Coriander seeds
  10. Pinch of Hing (asafoetida)
  11. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  12. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  13. 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  14. 1 Tbsp chiwda masala
  15. 1 tbsp salt
  16. 1 cup powdered sugar
  17. 1/2 tsp limbu sat( citric acid)
  18. 1 cup oil

Instructions

  1. Get all ingredients ready
  2. Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan(kadhai). Add in mustard seeds,cumin seeds ,Hing.Stir and add in coriander seeds, sesame seeds,cashewnut ,Almonds,Peanuts,Futana dal and coconut pieces and stir well.
  3. Add turmeric powder,coriander powder chilli powder,salt ,chiwda masala .Mix well.
  4. Add Poha and mix well.sprinkle sugar powder ,continuously stirring the chiwda on medium flame.
  5. Continue stirring till all Poha gets masala coating and turn crispy.
  6. Cool it on flat surface and keep in air tight container.
