Vegetable dalia is a very nutritious and digestible food.This Tom-Yum Paste offers different taste to regular vegetable porridge.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ingredients for making tom-yum paste: -
  2. Lemon grass 2 large spoons
  3. Thai Ginger 1 Tbsp
  4. Kafir Lime Leaves 8-10
  5. Thai Red Chilly 3-4
  6. Lemon juice 4 tablespoons
  7. Chopped onions 1/2 cups
  8. sugar 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Coriander leaves cut 1/4 cup
  10. Ingredients for making porridge: -
  11. Dalia 1 cup
  12. Carrot finely chopped 1/2 cup
  13. Capsicum finely chopped 1/4 cup
  14. Peas 1/2 cups
  15. Onions finely chopped 1/2 cups
  16. Tomato finely chopped 1 cup
  17. Olive oil 2 tablespoons
  18. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  19. Asafetida a pinch
  20. Salt to taste
  21. Chopped fresh coriander leaves 2Tbsp
  22. Tom-Yum Paste 1 1/2 Tbsp

Instructions

  1. Add lemon grass,Thai Ginger, Kafir Lime Leaves,Thai Red Chilly,Lemon juice,Chopped onions,Sugar and Coriander leaves in a mixer grinder to make tom-yum paste .
  2. Remove the prepared paste in a clean bowl.
  3. Steps for preparing Dalia: -
  4. Keep the Dalia soaked in one cup of water and put it aside.
  5. Heat the oil in a pan.
  6. Now add onion and asafetida in hot oil and fry until the onion turns golden.
  7. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.
  8. Cook tomatoes until it becomes soft.
  9. Add tom-yum paste after tomato gets cooked and mix well.
  10. Now add all the chopped vegetables in this mixture and mix well.
  11. Cover and cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes.
  12. Drain water from Dalia.
  13. Add dalia into a mixture of vegetables and mix well.
  14. Add 1/2 cup water and mix well.
  15. Cover the pan and cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes.
  16. Keep stiring in between.
  17. Delicious and nutritious tom-yum dalia is ready.
  18. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
